Born in Buffalo, NY, Shirley moved to Sarasota, FL in 1956, graduated from Riverview High High School, and attended Manatee Jr. College.

Active as an insurance professional since 1971, Shirley joined Moody Agency in 2011 as an agent and Commercial Lines CSR. She is a member of the International Association of Insurance Professionals (IAIP) with a Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) designation. Shirley is active in Suncoast Insurance Professionals, currently serving as Secretary, and awarded Insurance Professional of the Year by the organization in 2009 and 2011. She is attaining the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation.

Shirley enjoys reading, traveling, gardening, walking on the beach, and fishing with her son. Shirley's 15 lb. adopted cat Buddy allows her to spend time with other animals as a volunteer with the Sarasota Humane Society.
